How We Work

When you ask us to produce your design, whether it is for web or print, we believe the best way is to work with you through the whole process so you know what to expect. Within 48 hours of our consultation with you, we will quote for your proposed project.

Hopefully you will have accepted our quote and we will get to work on drawing up a plan and scope for your project and agree on an estimated date for completion. We will then start on the design process, this will involve us showing you visual concepts of the design.

Once a design is accepted we move on to development of a finished design. You will be involved in the project through to completion.

Here is a brief overview of how we work:

Web Design Process

  • The Design Brief - a detailed statement that outlines your business focus and goals
  • Project Scope - establish a scope for the project and agree on an estimated date for completion
  • Research and Brainstorming - research and competition analysis
  • Sketching - here we sketch basic ideas on a pad of paper
  • Prototyping - here we take the ideas and put them into digital form using Fireworks or Photoshop
  • Review - we present the initial design ideas as image mockups
  • Finishing Touches - final revisions and tweaks from the previous review
  • Site Development - we take the agreed design and hand-code the design into CSS and HTML
  • Add Content - we add the supplied content into created pages
  • Testing - we test the design with browsers and quality assurance checklists
  • Refine Site - we make final tweaks to the coding
  • Launch Site - website made live

Logo Design Process

  • The Design Brief - a detailed statement that outlines your business focus and goals
  • Research and Brainstorming - here we look at your competition, your existing brand and current market trends
  • Sketching - here we sketch designs in pencil
  • Prototyping - we take the designs that make it through the previous stage to the computer
  • Review - we present the first design ideas
  • Finishing Touches - final revisions from suggestions from the previous review to create a corporate identity that works for you
  • File Creation - we create files in different formats that can be used by external parties for online or print use
  • Optional Stationery Design - we take the designs and incorporate them into stationery templates ready for print
